There will be beverage tastings and tasting stations open on the causeway between the two resorts. A latin, jazz band, Pieces of a Dream will provide entertainment. Sounds like a great time!

D23 SIP AND STROLL AT EPCOT ON SUNDAY OCTOBER 18, 2009
This recently announced by D23. I am happy that D23 is coming up with events and perks for members. I have two suggestions however. 1) Announce events earlier so that guests have time to plan for them. 2). Make it worth it! In this case, I think that $250 on top of $75 membership fee, in addition to park admission is too much money for what is being offered. I don’t even like Jon Secada! I don’t see the benefit for this one but here are the details-
“Join D23 at Epcot® at the Walt Disney World Resort during the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, as we raise a glass to our wonderful members. Attendees will begin their day in a Hospitality Suite where they will be treated to presentations from some very special guests, includingCulinary Confessions of the PTA Divas and Marketplace Cookbook editor Pam Brandon — plus a few truly magical surprises. The Suite will remain open all day for your relaxation and convenience.
Attendees will be able to stroll through the Festival for lunch before enjoying one of two sessions that are part of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival — a mouth-watering culinary demonstration or a wonderful wine tasting — exclusive to D23 Members and their guests.
As evening falls, attendees will receive reserved seating for Jon Secada‘s “Eat to the Beat” concert at the America Gardens Theatre, before indulging in a private Party for the Senses — the signature dining experience of Food & Wine — just for D23 Members and their guests! And no evening would be complete without VIP viewing of IllumiNations, where attendees will be able to mingle and reminisce about the adventures of their day.”

Why back to Disney?
I‘ve been to Disney World a total of six times in my life. The first time was as a small boy. At the time only the Magic Kingdom existed. It must have been sometime in the late 70s. That trip had a huge impact on me. I had a great time and fell in love with Florida. The Magic Kingdom truly was magical to me. Everything that Walt Disney had intended for a child to feel while inside the park, I felt. Pure bliss. Fantasy. Color. Just the feeling of having the best day ever.
The next time I would visit WDW would be almost two decades later, around 1998. Again I visited in 2000 and 2001. The emphasis at that time was to party at special events held near and in the parks.
About 7 years later, in 2008, I went again. This time to explore the parks and just have fun.
Which brings me to now. I will be going to WDW for the third time in the span of a year next month. I went last Sept, this past June and now Sept again. I have investigated many Disney related websites and blogs, watched countless videos and even bought a huge guidebook. Why the increased interest in Disney?
I have my theories. Recapturing the wonder. Celebrating a happy place. Whatever the reasons, I will explore the reasons, I am going to Food and Wine at Epcot this year. I will take you with me..
